Many online merchants will ship your items in larger boxes and add additional packaging materials. This will normally increase the cost to ship your packages because costs are determined by the total size and weight of a package. USA2Everywhere can save you additional money by opening up your box and resizing it to a smaller package. When you enter a new shipment in your account, you will be asked to choose from one of three cut-down options:
1) Cut-down/resizing (default choice) – We will open your packages and make them smaller whenever possible. This is done by placing the contents into a bag, modifying the original shipping box to make it smaller or shipping the item just in its original manufacturer’s box.
2) No cut-down/resizing – If you choose this option we will ship your package in the original merchant’s box and you will be billed accordingly.
3) Shoe in Box – If you order shoes and select this option we will remove the shoes from the original shoe box and place them in a plastic bag.
Important: Please note that we are not able to reduce the size of all packages. If you have odd-shaped items, large items, or items shipped in bags, we may not be able to reduce the size any further. We will also not cut-down/resize any packages that have been designated as “Fragile” by the seller/merchant or that could damage the packages around it. If your package meets any of these criteria (which will be indicated on your package label) you will not be eligible for any discounts on shipping charges due to the fact that we did not resize your package.
