USA2Everywhere customers can now choose to add additional liability coverage to their packages.  If customers choose not to purchase this additional coverage, packages will still be covered for loss/damage on a limited liability basis as defined in our Terms and Conditions.  Please review the portion of the Terms and Conditions (attached to this Help Desk article) that refer to limited liability, filing claims and the ProtectionPlus program.


Over the next week we will be providing you with some additional tutorials on the service as well as a Frequently Asked Questions document showing the questions we are getting from customers once the program is launched and the answer to those questions.  In the meantime, here is a reminder of the key parts of the ProtectionPlus service:

  • All customers will initially have their account level setting set to the default to NOT choose the service.  Customers can change this preference through the Edit My Account link on the My Account section of our website once you are logged in.

  • Customers will have the option to add the additional coverage on a per package basis. All the contents of the package must be covered; we will not cover only individual items in a package.

  • Customers may select to add the coverage from the Manage Packages page once their package arrives, or by selecting to cover all their packages for their Edit Account settings page. Even if a customer chooses to cover all their packages, they will still have the option to remove the coverage on select packages from the Manage Packages page.

  • The additional cost of the ProtectionPlus coverage is $2.00 per $100 of value of your package.The value of package is equal to the declared value of the contents of the package PLUS the corresponding portion of the shipping charges for that package.

    • This will allow you to receive full reimbursement of your transportation costs as well if your items are lost/damaged.

    • If the value you declare for your package is not accurate, you will only be entitled for reimbursement based on what you declared.

  • The value of your package will not include hold charges, package handling charges, delivery charges, etc…and subsequently those charges will not be reimbursable either if a claim is filed.

  • The maximum value that can be covered under this program varies by countries and is as follows: 

    •  Baku, Philippines, Singapore – $25,000

    • Pakistan, Moldova, Armenia - $2500

  • Although this is an optional program for most cases, USA2Everywhere will require that ProtectionPlus coverage is applied to all packages that contain televisions or have a value of $1000 or more.In those cases the coverage will automatically be applied and customers will be responsible for paying the charges as part of the total cost of service.
